My dearest darling diary, I had a wonderful night with Mr.Henry. He's such a nice boy and so very good to me. Though sometimes I wonder about his true feelings, it's almost like we play a game of words, a very fake game. He left the post for two days, oh how I missed him. Tonight I saw him again, and we kissed tenderly. He was very passoinate, and I made sure that he would never leave me again. Oh how a foolish heart like mine grieves. I lost one man in this war and I don't want to loose him too.

Curses on this war, this awful dreadful creation of men. I've seen many men broken from this war. All the time they suffer from trench foot, trench mouth, gas burns, shell shock and trench fever. The poor men, I try to help out the doctors as much I can, being a nurse. Oh how this war sickens me, these men are so foolish to be fighting over two royals of Austria being shot. Germany, Italy, all these blasted countries, the war is cold and very heartless. That is all I have to write to you about that, oh my sweet diary.

That American boy is so very sweet, I love him, diary. My family in Britain would never understand. I would run away with him, if I could. I know I sound crazy right now, but it's true. I can read his mind, we are like one soul in two diffrent bodies, my sweet love and I. With his mouse brown hair and penetrating eyes he said,"kiss me", so I did! Oh the electricity was magnificent, my heart melted. His touch takes away all the pain in my world. Once again, I'm the foolish girl who is played like a card. Oh dear diary, how I wish to see him again tomarrow, and the next day, and the next day, until I die. Tah-tah now, I'm off to bed.
