Movie Casting Summary: A Farewell To Arms

Frederick tough main character, survivalist, young, immature, ambulance driver Dave Franco Dave Franco is very good at portraying young characters who often have very mature roles, like Jack from Now You See Me. His face and hair seem like the kind that a wild young American soldier in World War 1 would have. He seems perfect for this role as a main character becauase he's good at showing emotions, he's very adaptable, and his voice is also young. He would be very good at being an American Italian ambulance driver who gets drunk all the time and meets a girl. Dave is just the right mix of intellectual, tough, sensitive and empathetic, this would make him the perfect role for Fred.

Catherine Barkely pretty english blonde girl nurse Nichole Kidman This actress has a certain manner about her that tells the world that she's special, like Catherine. Nichole has been in movies where she's had to use a british accent, also she has blonde hair and blue eyes so I imagine Catherine looking and acting like her. Nichole was very good at playing Lady Sarah Ashley in the movie Austrailia (which was during World War two by the way), and in "The Golden Compess" where she was the unsuspected seductive anatagonist. She is Austrailian and American so she's had experience overseas.

Rinaldi Fred's close buddy, Italian, black hair, skinny, worked as an operator/surgeon, caring, sensitive Ron Livingston Rinaldo is like the ultimate bro, he's also sensitive and surprises Fred when he gives him kisses on the cheek (it's a cultural thing in Italy). He's always looking out for our humble main character, just like Fergi and Miss Barkely. Rinaldi is calm yet crazy at the same time. Ron Livingston's role in the movie Officespace showed that he can be a little jerky, but still do the right thing in the end, like Rinaldi. This actor has black hair and a very nice voice, he's good at playing calm warm characters, such as Rinaldi.

Ferguson aka Fergi young girl, acts as Miss Barkley's overprotective mom, wise Miranda Cosgrove I imagine Fergi as this type of overbearing, pestering, little girl who's way out of her place. She's had many love affairs and hit puberty really early. Ferguson is very smart and she seems to have had many heartbrakes, so she's always watching out for others, especially Catherine Barkely. Miranda is very good at acting like a supportive young mother figure, just like how her charcter Carly protects and guides her best friend Sam, in the show iCarly. It's the same with her charcter Megan, who plays a terrible but brilliant little sister in Drake and Josh. Her voice can be annnoying at times, and she's very good at exaggerating her facial exprssions.
